Tis the season for the hustle and bustle and soaking in all the moments! There is much to do and enjoy this time of year, and it can leave us feeling a little frazzled. Use these tips to take a few minutes for YOU this season! -Ashley Cribb
This time of year we want to be intentional about rest and presence with those we love, and we also want to take care our ourselves both physically and emotionally. It's hard to pour from an empty well! BUT taking care of yourself doesn't have to take a large amount of time...
QUICK SELFCARE IDEAS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Draw an epsom salt bath with 1 cup magnesium flakes + 20 drops Lavender + 10 drops Vanilla
Take five minutes of quiet at the start of your day and breathe in an oil deeply. Repeat a positive mantra or bible verse or simply state three gratitudes. Good oils for this include Joy, Believe, Frankincense or Release.
Take your supplements! True selfcare isn't just baths and beeswax candles. Give your mind and body the nutrients and fuel they needs! Daily NingXia Red, Super B and Super Vitamin D are a great place to start.
Diffuse uplifting blends! Diffuse while you get ready, diffuse during a shower, diffuse all day long. Citrus + tree oil + a little floral is a good combination. Or add Vanilla to just about anything.
Make an uplifting roller blend: 15 drops Joy, 10 drops Vanilla, 10 drops Orange, 5 drops Patchouli, carrier oil. Roll this blend liberally and frequently and take deep breaths to refocus your mind on love and presence.
Give tired feet a little TLC with a mini massage before bed. Mix a few drops of Cypress with Peppermint and carrier and massage away.
Write down three gratitudes each day. Apply Gratitude, Joy or Frankincense over your heart, breathe deeply and journal. Go deeper than 'my job' or 'my family' and write very specific things as well as the way they make you feel.
