TLC: Winter Skin

Tis the season for dry, itchy skin! Take care with the best tips from Ashley Cribb!!

ROSE OINTMENT OR ANIMAL SCENTS OINTMENT

Give dry, cracked hands and feet some TLC by applying Animal Scents Ointment or Rose Ointment and then covering with cotton socks or gloves. I do this on my feet before bed, and it has been such a game-changer!!

I also used this tip from Stephanie Thompson Bennett to make the Animal Scents Ointment easier to use: Try whipping it in your stand mixer for a lighter consistency that is easier to spread over skin!)

We apply Rose Ointment to cold or wind-chapped lips, noses, cheeks as well as on cuticles and all over the hands! It is so soothing and moisturizing, and you can add extra oils to it if desired or needed!

DRY SKIN GLOW SERUM:

2oz glass dropper bottle

Carrier oil of choice (Emu or argan for more moisture, jojoba for middle ground)

20 drops each: Frankincense, Manuka, Blue Tansy, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood or Sacred Sandalwood

4-5 droppers of CBD Beauty Boost

Sandalwood has been the GAME CHANGER when it comes to dry skin on my face. I use it twice a day. You can also try the Essential Beauty Serum, but in my opinion the sandalwood packs a bigger punch and is definitely worth it!

WINTER SKIN HYDRATION MASK

This recipe via Lindsey Elmore is incredible!

2 tablespoons coconut oil

2 tablespoons honey

2 drops each: rose (can sub geranium), manuka, neroli, frankincense.

Apply to any dry skin area (face, hands, legs, etc) and let sit for as long as desired! Ideally, use in the bath with epsom salt, then rinse off or pat off with a towel.
