Linen Spray DIY

 

This is such a lovely and simple DIY that gives your linens a refresh! -Katie Weber

INGREDIENTS

4 ounces distilled water

2 ounces witch hazel, rubbing alcohol or vodka

35-45 drops essential oils

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add witch hazel, rubbing alcohol or vodka in a spray bottle.*

  2. Add essential oils (see below for scent ideas).

  3. Add water and shake well.

  4. Lightly mist your linens daily or several times a week.

*Because oil and water don’t mix, these act as emulsifiers to help the ingredients combine.

Tip: Always shake your linen spray before using it to maximize the scent.

USES:

  • Freshen the couch

  • Use while ironing

  • Spray sheets to deodorize them between laundering

  • Revive draperies and curtains

  • Freshen the towels and linens in a guest room before a visitor arrives

  • Refresh blankets

  • Deodorize the inside of your car

  • Scent your pillow before bed for a sound night’s sleep

SCENT IDEAS:

**Breeze Linen Spray: **

10 drops Citrus Fresh, 10 drops eucalyptus radiata, 10 drops kunzea, 8 drops tea tree, 5 drops wintergreen

**Sunrise Linen Spray: **

9 drops grapefruit, 9 drops lemon, 9 drops lime, 7 drops raven, 5 drops black pepper, 5 drops geranium

**Mountainside Linen Spray: **

8 drops of the following: coriander, jasmine, juniper, lemon, sacred sandalwood
