Emotional Education : Bergamot
This oil right here was the first oil that truly calmed me down and one I often can be found huffing alone in the bathroom or in a closet when I want an escape from the crazy of the day . -Eryn Jones
Bergamot is a citrus oil. It is used in Earl Gray tea to give it that "ahhhh" factor and has been studied for it's properties to lower cortisol (stress hormone) and to lower the body's sympathetic nervous response (fight/flight/freeze).
Which makes it the perfect emotional support oil and one of the best calming oils for summer! It's amazing for all the calming, soothing, and relaxing vibes.
WAYS TO USE BERGAMOT FOR EMOTIONS:
Diffuse with other citrus essential oils or add to a conifer tree EO (spruce, pine, etc) on days when you are feeling stressed.
Rub on wrists or feet while doing some deep breathing.
If you are a care-giver to small children, you can also hide alone while smelling Bergamot straight from your bottle in a bathroom or closet
