DIY Pumpkin Preserving Spray

We share this DIY every year & it’s the best! October is pumpkin carving month. If you live in a warmer, climate or bugs are a problem, here's a way to make your pumpkin last longer and prevent mold/decay.-Rebecca McClelland

HOW TO:

• Use an 8 oz. spray bottle

• Add 1/2 tsp (or one capful) liquid castile soap

• Add 10 drops peppermint essential oil and 10 drops tea tree essential oil

• Fill remainder with water

• Shake well

• Spray daily once your pumpkin is carved (a great job for the littles)

OTHER PRESERVING TIPS:

• Keep out of direct sunlight

• At night, put in a plastic bag in the fridge or another cool spot in your house like the basement

• If you see pumpkin starting to wilt, put it in an ice bath overnight to rehydrate.

We would love to see your carved pumpkins! Share pics of them in the comments below!
