Oils for the First Aid Kit
It's that time of year when everyone is outside, traveling or playing in the backyard, which often has us reaching for the first aid kit! Here are some of our oily favorites.
One of the reasons I love essential oils and Young Living products is because they are natural and safe for my family! I LOVE having these tools on hand, especially this time of year! -Ashley Cribb
Rose ointment -- our natural version of OTC first aid creams! Also great for dry, wind or sun chapped skin, we use this all the time!
KidScents oils with AromaGlide roller tops -- Owie, TummyGize, SniffleEase, and SleepyIze! These are already diluted and ready to use.
Lavaderm After Sun Spray - for sunburns or any burns, bites or cuts! This does have peppermint in it so will give a cooling sensation when used.
DIY Owie Spray (2oz): 20 drops each tea tree or melrose, lavender, frankincense, copaiba and top with fractionated coconut oil.
Tea Tree essential oil - can be used to remove a tick (ew) if needed. Apply a couple drops undiluted to the embedded tick, then use a q-tip to rub around. If needed add a couple more drops and continue rubbing. The tick will release on its own after a minute or so.
Insect repellent wipes - so you don't need the tea tree ;)
Diluted versions of Digize (belly needs), Panaway and/or Peppermint (head and neck tension), Raven (for all the respiratory needs) ready to go if needed!
What do you have in your natural first aid kit? We'd love to know!
