Winter blues are a real thing for so many! With days being shorter, more dark hours, and the cold temps can cause a huge mood shift. Oils are a wonderful way to bring a little joy to your day during this season! - Erin Smith

WINTER BLUES ROLLER

  • 10 drops Frankincense

  • 10 drops Orange

  • 10 drops Bergamot

  • 10 drops Grapefruit

  • 5 drops Ylang Ylang

Add essential oils to an empty roller bottle, top off with carrier oil. Apply to pulse points, feet, back of neck and remember to breathe!

OTHER TIPS FOR MANAGING THE BLUES

  • Sunlight- get outside as often as possible! Exposing yourself to natural light will help boost serotonin production and your overall mood.

  • Exercise- experts often refer to exercise as nature's antidepressant. Exercise can increase serotonin and endorphins, which both affect mood. Moderate exercise of at least 30 minutes most days of the week may provide the biggest mood boost.

  • Go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day to help normalize your circadian rhythms.

  • Eat regularly

  • Avoid the common urge in the winter to overindulge in simple carbohydrates, such as starchy or sweet foods; eat a balanced diet of proteins, fruits and vegetables, and whole grains

  • Make (and keep) plans with friends and families to help you stay connected

  • Take time for yourself and engage in activities you enjoy

Yall, Spring is on it's way! We're almost there!
