DIY SOOTHING EYE MASK

  • 1/2 cucumber pureed

  • 1 Tablespoon Witch Hazel

  • 1 drop Rose oil

  • 2 drops German Chamomile

  • 1 drop Sacred Sandalwood

  • 20 cotton rounds

Mix ingredients together. Saturate each cotton round in mixture and squeeze excess liquid. Store in airtight container. Freeze until ready to use. Place on eyes for a calming and cooling mask - leave on for 10-20 minutes and discard after use.

DIY PAMPERING HAIR MASK

  • 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil melted

  • 2 drops Lavender oil

  • 2 drops Rosemary Oil

  • Wide-toothed comb

Mix ingredients together and let harden slightly. Dampen hair. Using your hands, apply mask to hair. Use comb to distribute mask throughout hair. Let sit for 30-60 min. Wash hair as usual.

DIY STEAM FACIAL

Here's an amazing recipe - the steps take slightly longer but the results are worth it! Steam facials hydrate, soothe, remove impurities from skin and improve circulation.

You will need:

  • 1 cup baking soda

  • 1/2 cup citric acid

  • 7 drops Lavender oil

  • 4 drops German Chamomile

  • 7 drops Geranium oil

  • 4 drops Elemi oil

  • 2-3 Tablespoons witch hazel

  • 1 inch silicone molds

  • Optional: dried lavender or dried rose petals

  1. Sprinkle dried rose petals or lavender, in the bottom of your silicone molds if using. Set aside.

  2. Add 1 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup citric acid to a glass bowl and mix well with a wire whisk. Add essential oils. Mix well.

  3. Add 2-3 tablespoons of witch hazel to a spray bottle. Spray surface of the mixture and stir. Repeat spraying and stirring until mixture feels like damp sand. You know it’s good to go when you can shape it into a ball, but it falls apart easily.

  4. Put the mixture into silicone molds. Press firmly. The mixture will expand, so leave a little room at the top.

  5. Allow to dry completely. Then pop steamers out of molds.

To use:

-Prep skin by washing & exfoliating.

-Bring water to a boil in a large pot.

-Remove pot from stovetop to an area where you can comfortably lean over it. Be careful!

-Add a facial steamer to the water. Let sit and fizz 1-2 min.

-Place a large towel over your head and lean over the pot with your face 5-10 inches away from the water. (Do not put your face closer to the water to avoid burning your skin.)

-Do five 2-minute sessions, giving skin a 1-minute break between each. Keep the water hot by placing a lid on the pot during break time.

-Splash your face with cool water.

-Moisturize with your favorite serum!
