Oil Infused Recipe : Baked Apples
OIL INFUSED RECIPE: BAKED APPLES
Fall makes me want all things apples! I wish I lived close to somewhere where we could go apple picking, but alas whatever Whole Foods and Trader Joes have is my go-to . This recipe sounds delicious and I’d never made baked apples like this! -Lauren Dunaway
INGREDIENTS
5 Gala apples (or green apples)
1/4 cup coconut sugar
2 Tbsp butter, ghee, or coconut oil
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1-2 drops Cinnamon Bark Vitality
1-2 drops Nutmeg Vitality
1/2 cup water
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a small bowl, cut in the butter into the coconut sugar to form crumbs.
Stir in the chopped pecans, Cinnamon Bark, and Nutmeg essential oil.
Prepare the apples by cutting a circle off the top of the apple.
Remove the core and the seeds with a spoon.
Place the apples in a baking dish and fill the apples evenly with the pecan filling.
Pour the water into the bottom of the baking dish.
Cover the baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender.
Allow to cool and serve with homemade vanilla ice cream, coco-whip, or whatever you want!
This would be so fun to have for Thanksgiving or the holidays or any day you want a warm, fall treat!
