Oil Spotlight : R.C.

Happy Monday! Bringing back some oil spotlights over the next few weeks. R.C. was one of my first true loves. It has been amazing support for my youngest and I absolutely love it diffused with lemon (smells like Aveda to me!).

WHAT IS R.C.?

This blend is one of my all-time favorites. R.C. stands for "respiratory congestion." This oil is a blend containing: Spruce, Cyprus, and three types of Eucalyptus oils (E. globulus, E. radiata, and E. citriodora). This oil opens up the chest and is wonderful to diffuse with lemon as well to work up anything that is building up in the body.

HOW TO USE:

This oil is amazing this time of year.

  • Make a roller ball using 1/2 carrier oil + equal parts Lemon + R.C. I made several of these at the beginning of the school year.

  • For littles ones 6 and under I recommend applying to the feet because of the eucalyptus. It won't hurt the little ones but in my experience it may irritate their delicate skin which will go away quickly, but I prefer the feet or diffusing. For those 6+ rub on chest, back and throat!

OTHER WAYS TO USE R.C.:

  • Rub on your chest and back of the neck before an early-morning workout.

  • Use with V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex or any carrier oil for a foot or back massage after your gym routine, outdoor adventure, or yoga practice.

  • Place a few drops in a hot bath or shower. The warm water will calm and soothe you, and the oil will diffuse with the steam for an invigorating and empowering experience.

  • Brighten your outlook during early-morning errands by applying R.C. oil to your chest and wrists.

  • Diffuse for a warm and calming aroma.
