DIY Compost Deodorizer

Baking soda + essential oils is all you need to keep the process of composting smelling and looking cleaner. This deodorizer is simple yet effective and keeps your plants happy. -Kristina Carter

INGREDIENTS

• Baking soda

• 10 drops Tea Tree essential oil

• 10 drops Cedarwood essential oil

• 10 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oil

TO MAKE:

• Add 1 cup baking soda to a large mason jar or bowl

• Add all of your essential oils

• Mix to combine, breaking up the clumps of oil as best as possible

TO USE:

• Sprinkle 1/4 cup deodorizer directly into your compost bin to help absorb any unpleasant aroma from the compost. Use as needed.

• Replace your mixture every 5-7 days, depending on freshness.
