What are HOT oils?!

Hot oils are essential oils that are warming to the skin and should always be used with a carrier oil to avoid skin irritation. Some examples of hot oils are: Thieves, Cinnamon Bark, Lemongrass, Oregano, Thyme and for some people, Peppermint.

What happens if I forget and then experience an uncomfortable warming? What if my little ones accidentally touch them? What if they get in my eyes? The answer is always to apply a carrier oil immediately. Oil + water do not mix so if you apply a carrier oil to the area it will immediately provide relief. :)

Some of our favorite carrier oils: Young Living's V6, coconut oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil.
