Preparing for House Guests
Every time we invite family, friends, or even strangers into our home, it reminds us that the most important things in life aren’t things.
I love this tip as you prepare for house guests this season: spend the night in your guest room. This will help you identify any areas that could use some attention. (Comfort, temperature, sunlight, noise, etc.) Here are some great ways to help guests feel welcome and comfortable this season. -Katie Weber
TIPS FOR A WELCOMING HOME
Set out some soft, plush blankets around the living room.
Have some extra pillows in the guest room.
Create your own fall scented linen spray by combining 1 cup of water with 7 drops of Black Pepper, 8 drops of Nutmeg, and 8 drops of Orange in a spray bottle. Shake well before spritzing on linens.
Having spare toiletries is so helpful in case your guest forgot anything.
A phone charger and sound machine are such nice touches.
Set up a diffuser with a few oils ready to go in the room. Here's a great blend for the holidays: http://bit.ly/3A3nlbN
Turn on relaxing music
Most importantly - don't stress. Enjoy yourself and your guest will feel comfortable and welcome!
