DIY Deodorant
What do you think about DIY deodorant? It was the first thing I tried after my armpit detox😆. I love the versatility of choosing your own oils in this recipe! Be sure to pick oils that are soothing on the skin (not hot oils;) If you try it let us know what you think! -Rebecca McClelland
INGREDIENTS
3T organic coconut oil (unrefined will have a light coconut smell, refined will not)
20-25 drops of essential oils (I used 10 drops Lavender and 15 drops Citrus Fresh)
INSTRUCTIONS
Place about 1 inch of water into a small sauce pan and bring to a simmer.
Place shea butter and coconut oil into the glass container, and place the container in the simmering water.
Stir until melted, then remove the glass jar from the water.
Add in baking soda and arrowroot powder, 1T at a time and stir continuously until all clumps are removed.
Add in vitamin E oil and essential oils.
Place your deodorant in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight to solidify. Upon removing, let stand at room temperature until it is no longer cold, then stir with a fork. Use daily -- a little does the trick!
