Father's Day DIYs
There is so much goodness in this post from Rebecca McClelland!!!
Here are some really great ideas for you guys that Erin Smith Jones complied for us. They would make perfect Father's Day gifts! Grab your oils and supplies as we head into June.
DIY SHAVING CREAM
1/3 c shea butter
1/3 c coconut oil
2 T olive oil
2 T castile soap
essential oils of your choice
-our favorites combos:
Peppermint + Eucalyptus -OR- Clove + Cedarwood
Step 1: In a small saucepan, melt shea butter and coconut oil over the lowest heat setting on the stove. Stir occasionally until fully melted.
Step 2: Add olive oil and stir until fully blended. Remove from heat.
Step 3: Transfer mixture to a medium-sized bowl or any size jar and place in the fridge until it’s solid.
Step 4: Remove from fridge and get ready to whip it up. If it’s in a jar you’ll need to transfer it to a medium-sized bowl first. Whip using a hand mixer or stand mixer. Scrape sides down as needed. Whip until fluffy ~ about 3-4 minutes depending on how cold your mixture is – then add castile soap and whip until fully combined.
Step 5: Spoon shaving cream into an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place.

Know a man who works with paint or grease? Those can be tricky to remove from hands. Here's a great scrub that he will love!
MANLY HAND SCRUB
1 c sugar
1/3 cup sweet almond oil
20 drops Lemon
Combine all ingredients well and spoon into an 8 oz glass jar.
Add 1T carrier oil to the top to prevent drying out
Scrub dirty, greasy or paint spattered hands with 1-2 T of the sugar scrub. Rinse well.

WORKING MAN HAND & FOOT SALVE
1/4 c beeswax
1/2 c coconut oil
1/2 c Shea butter
1 tsp. vitamin E oil
10 drops Clove
10 drops Orange
Combine beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter together in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently until melted completely.
Pop melted mixture into fridge for 5-10 minutes, just until top begins to form a solid surface. If you forget it and it turns solid, just set it out on the counter until it begins to soften.
Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and whisk well, until it begins to fluff up and double in volume.
Stir in vitamin E, Clove and Orange, mixing well until fully incorporated.
Transfer mixture into a jar with a fitted lid.
Store your cream in a cool dark place. You may even enjoy the cool relief of this cream when stored in the refrigerator until ready for use.
To Use:
For cracked, dry hands apply often throughout the day, especially after washing, as that can dry your hands out even more.
At night you can apply a thick layer of salve to your feet, then cover with socks to let it really absorb into your skin.

For the bearded men in your life:)
BEARD BALM:
You will need:
A candle-making pitcher
1 tsp bee's wax
1 tsp Shea butter
1 tsp Jojoba oil
1 tsp from cocoa butter sticks
Metal tins (we used these)
Essential oils - we love lavender + cedarwood
Begin by melting the wax, cocoa butter and Shea butter in the candle-making pitcher. Pour warm mixture into metal tin and then add jojoba oil & about 10 drops of each essential oil. Stir with a wooden skewer and let harden. This wax-y texture allows your guy to groom his hairs in any style that he chooses.
BEARD OIL:
Add to a 2 ounce small bottle with an eyedropper or cap
1 tablespoon fractionated coconut oil
3–4 drops cedarwood oil
3–4 drops sandalwood oil
top with jojoba or your favorite carrier oil
Tell us your plans for Father's Day and your which DIY the men in your life would love!
