Emotional Education : Ylang Ylang
February is the month of love, and since the most important Love is the <3 we give to ourselves, I'm going to share with you four oils in the month of February that can help you grow in self-love, freedom, and self-confidence <3 - Eryn Jones
EMOTIONAL USES FOR YLANG YLANG:
For when you feel Drained. The opposite of this feeling is "Complete". Using Ylang Ylang over your heart while focusing on being open can help shift your energy towards a higher vibe, more complete state!
For when you feel afraid to share/ use your voice/ speak your truth. Ylang Ylang is powerful for opening up the 5th Chakra (your throat, which carries the energy of self-expression). Interesting story- my oldest used to have a hard time saying what she wanted and standing up for herself. When we first got Ylang Ylang, she despised the smell! I didn't push it on her and let it go. A couple years later, I asked her where she felt the most tension in her body when she is stressed (common counselor mom questions :) and she said, "in my throat. I feel like it's so tight there all the time!" So I looked up how Ylang Ylang could help and I asked her to be open to using it there. She was up for it, but did not like it very much at first (you know the oil you sometimes need the most you have a strong reaction to it- like your body is saying, "No! Don't change me- that takes work!"). But now Ylang Ylang and blends with it are some of her FAVORITES! And she is much better at speaking her mind <3. Just a testimony to the power of oils to open us up to new experiences and help us grow!
Have you tried Ylang Ylang yet?
